Journal of Light: A Photographer’s Search for the Soul of Florida
For 20 years John Moran has traveled the Sunshine State with his cameras, capturing natural Florida as it must have appeared to Ponce de Leon and other early strangers in paradise. Narrating a slide show of his remarkable collection of landscape and wildlife photography, Moran reflects on his quest to capture the soul of one of the most photographed states in the country.
John Moran has traveled the Sunshine State with his cameras for more than two decades. His photos have been published in magazines such as National Geographic, Time, Life, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, Smithsonian and The New York Times Magazine. Moran left the world of daily journalism after a 20-year career to concentrate full time on photographing the best of vanishing natural Florida, and to expand his career into books, museum exhibitions and other projects.
