Speakers Bureau
FHC Road Scholars travel the state, bringing thought-provoking, entertaining public programs to thousands of Floridians at libraries, community centers, museums, and other public venues.
In 2007-08, our scholars delivered programs on topics ranging from politics and civil rights to movies and mermaids. They delved into such issues as immigration, suburban sprawl, and the environment. They portrayed such historical figures as civil rights leader Harry T. Moore and Everglades champion Marjory Stoneman Douglas. And they enlightened and entertained with talks about Florida art, photography, food, roadside attractions, and music.
Planning is underway for our fall 2008/spring 2009 schedule of programs. Please check back in June for details. Programs are available to non-profit organizations planning free, public events. If you would like more information, contact Julie Henry Matus at jhm@flahum.org or 727-873-2002.
