Grant Publicity Requirements
FHC awards are funded through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). Grant recipients are required to credit both FHC and NEH in press releases, publicity materials, and program announcements.

FHC grant funded projects are required to carry the appropriate logo on all printed material (including websites). Please use the following logo format on all publicity materials. Failure to comply with FHC’s publicity guidelines could result in forfeiture of grant payments.

Sample Press Release
A grant award from FHC offers an opportunity to gain publicity and recognition for your organization and your project. The following is a press release that you may adapt and submit to newspapers in your marketing region. It should answer the questions: who, what, why, where, and when and be double-spaced.

HUMANITIES GRANT AWARDED TO (YOUR ORGANIZATION)
(Your organization) was recently awarded a grant from the Florida Humanities Council to (description of your project). (Details about your program and/or organization).
The Florida Humanities Council is an independent, non-profit organization and is the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Each year, FHC funds hundreds of public programs throughout the state that explore Florida's history, folklore, environment, literature, music, and art. (Your organization) was among numerous community organizations throughout the state to receive a grant that funds humanities programs.

Letters to Legislators
Since FHC funds are public monies, each grant recipient is strongly encouraged to send a thank you letter in the mail, or via fax, to the appropriate congressional representatives. This is to inform your representatives how taxpayer dollars are being spent, their purpose, and the value of FHC-funded projects.
