Funded Grants
Each year the Florida Humanities Council awards more than $300,000 in grant funds to Florida nonprofit organizations. These grants support hundreds of public programs throughout the state that explore Florida's history, folklore, environment, literature, music, and art. Libraries, civic groups, universities, colleges and museums, historical societies and theaters have received grants to sponsor humanities programs. Projects range from lectures, discussion programs and history tours to websites, exhibits, brochures, and heritage maps.
