National Endowment for the Humanities
Phone 202-606-8400, website http://www.neh.gov/, e-mail info@neh.gov. Offers grants for public programs (including television programs and publications), exhibitions, long-term support, preservation of collections, fellowships and stipends, and challenge grants.

Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs
Phone 850-487-2980, http://www.florida-arts.org/jobs/FundingResources.htm. Offers support for arts programs through general program support and funding for specific projects in the arts; offers stipends to visiting artists and authors of fiction and poetry.

Florida Department of State, Division of Historical Resources
Phone 800-847-7278 or 850-487-2333, http://www.flheritage.com/grants/. Offers grants for historic preservation, historical museum and historical exhibit projects. These legislative grants are available for major historic preservation and historical museum projects with grant assistance needs in excess of $50,000.

Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs Council
Phone 305-375-4634, fax 305- 375-3068, http://www.miamidadearts.org. Funds distinctively Miami-Dade County arts programs and products that help to create a unique image for promoting community tourism.

SOS! Achievement Awards

Southern Humanities Media Fund
Phone 804-924-6895. Funds the production of films, video, and audio programs focusing on history, culture and social change within the American South.

Florida Photographic Collection
Although not a funding source, the Florida Photographic Collection contains over 100,000 images online. It is the most complete portrait of Florida available. http://www.floridamemory.com/PhotographicCollection
