Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum, St. Petersburg. Two former Tuskegee airmen join exhibit designers and historians for a conversation about the Tuskegee Airmen. $2000.00

West Florida Historic Preservation, Inc. Pensacola. A DVD created and distributed details the history, preservation, and restoration of a historic house. $2000.00

The Treasures of Madison County, Inc., Madison. A narrated walking tour of Madison is produced and delivered for duplication and distribution. $2000.00

Hillsborough Reads, Tampa. A series of scholar-led discussions explore the meaning of service with members of AmeriCorp. $1500.00

WJCT-TV Channel 7, Jacksonville. A half-hour documentary uses the Jacksonville bridges to tell the story of Jacksonville development. $25,000.00

WEDU TV, Tampa. A half-hour studio-based round-table discussion follows the airing of the statewide documentary. $9900.00

Flagler College, St. Augustine. A weekend program brings writers - past and present - to examine the significant role St. Augustine plays in attracting and inspiring writers. $8675.00

. A series of 4 lectures from January thru April propose topics that include Florida music, historic gardens, city planning, and Florida environment. $3,000.00

. In conjunction with a folk art exhibit, this Partnership Grant proposes 4 public programs on the topic. $3,000.00

Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal, Beverly Hills
. This new Partnership Grant evolved from a successful Mini Grant and proposes 4 public programs on aspects of Florida history. $3,000.00

Saint Andrew''s Episcopal Church, Lake Worth
. This grant focuses on comparative religion and offers 4 programs exploring questions related to recent archaeological findings and early Christianity. $3,000.00

National Park Service, Jacksonville
. This Partnership Grant has moved from a one-day festival to a series of programs that occur each Saturday in February. $3,000.00

Ormond Beach Historical Trust, Inc., Ormond Beach
. Local and state history is covered by a series of 8 programs scheduled for this Partnership Grant. $3,000.00

American Association of Univeristy Women - Niceville, Niceville
. Four lecture programs will take place at both the OWC campus and at the Heritage Museum. $3,000.00

Saint Augustine Art Association, Saint Augustine
. Using the city of St. Augustine as point of reference, this project offers a minimum of 4 programs that examine eras and practitioners of art related to the city. $3,000.00

Winter Park Historical Association, Winter Park
. In collaboration with the library, the Historical Association proposes a series of monthly programs from Oct. thru March that feature a wide range of humanities topics all centered on Florida. $3,000.00

Tavares Public Library, Tavares
. Five programs feature various cultural aspects of Hispanic heritage including Mexican, Puerto Rican, and Cuban. $3,000.00

Sarasota Reading Festival, Sarasota.  The annual festival features a FHC-funded panel discussion on the role of the press in a democratic society. $2,000.00

University of South Florida - St. Petersburg, Saint Petersburg.  Popular nature writer Susan Cerulean offers a public presentation, nature walk at Weedon Island, and writing workshop.  $900.00

Creative Clay, Saint Petersburg.  Three programs, offered as part of the St. Petersburg Folk Art Fest, include a scholar, a storyteller, folk artist, anthropologist and dancer. $2,000.00

Saint Augustine Historical Society, Saint Augustine.  Leading scholars hold a symposium on the earlier North American settlements of La Florida.  $2,000.00

Friends of Wild Iris, Gainesville.  Capitalizing on the recent popularity of the best seller "The Secret" a panel discussion explores the religious and philosophical traditions of the work. $700.00

University of Central Florida Library, Orlando.  A community-wide commemoration of the publication of Kerouac's "On the Road" includes an exhibit and public programs. $1,500.00

Matheson Museum, Gainesville.  This project brings author and scholar Dr. Rosalyn Howard for a public program on the Black Seminoles. $700.00

Bonita Springs Historical Society, Bonita Springs.  Following a successful first year of programming another round of 4 public programs that focus on the Florida landscape is offered. $2,000.00

St. Pete Beach Library, Saint Petersburg.  This project offers reading discussions, a screening of the film “Flash of Green,” and a panel discussion the film maker and crew. $2,000.00

Paragon Ladies of the Dove, Incorporated, Florida City.  A visit and several programs by the James Weldon Johnson Chautauqua character is offered at 4 venues. $2,000.00

Amelia Book Island Festival, Inc. , Fernandina Beach.  The annual book festival features a panel discussion facilitated by Socky O'Sullivan with Florida authors discussing the changing Florida landscape.   $2,000.00

Memorial Regional Hospital, Hollywood.  A five-part, literature-based, discussion program designed for hospital employees will address critical issues in the medical field today. $1500

Florida Cultural Resources, Gainesville. A traveling exhibition and panel discussion about Florida cattle ranching framed in terms of continuity and change.  $25,000

Flagler College, Saint Augustine.  A 2-day conference brings national scholars in history and archaeology to discuss the unique Spanish, British, and American history of the area. $7000

Cummer Museum Of Art & Gardens, Jacksonville. A series of programs explores multiple aspects of the St. Johns. $16, 654

Bayside High School, Clearwater. Four educational trunks will be assembled with material objects appropriate for teaching St. Augustine history. $1000

Riverview High School, Sarasota.  A folklife project creates classroom activities which bring traditional artists to the students. $1000

Booker Middle School, Sarasota. Training for teachers and students to collect folk history in traditional African American communities. $775

West Shore Jr/Sr High School, Melbourne.  Combining history and theater arts to teach the history of Florida and monologue writing. $1000

Miami-Killian Sr. High, Miami.  Art historians provide analysis and interpretation of Hispanic art that reflects historic and contemporary social issues. $1000

Friends of the Myakka River, Inc., Sarasota.  Three humanities programs are held at one of the park's historic buildings during January through March. $2,000.00.

Florida Foresight, Inc., Panacea.  Five public lectures relevant to the maritime history and culture of the Big Bend area take place from January through May. $2,000.00.

Art Center Manatee, Bradenton. A scholar presentation and discussion of the impact and reflection of the Florida environment by artists. $750.00.

Tale Tellers of Saint Augustine, St. Augustine.  A second series of stories are researched and presented focusing on the Civil War era. $2,000.00.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Gulf Breeze.  A public program and a brochure are developed commemorating aviators experiences during war. $2,000.00.

Kissimmee Main Street Program, Inc. Kissimmee.  A Florida folksinger and storyteller will present at the annual festival commemorating the founding of Kissimmee. $1,500.00.

Friends of the Bruton Memorial Library, Plant City.  A film series with scholar-led discussions is proposed for the months January-April. $2,000.00.

Bartow Airbase Historical Museum, Bartow.  A walking tour brouchure and a public program are created to build awareness of the new airbase museum. $2,000.00.

Peace River Center for Writers, Punta Gorda.  A series of programs uses the "Poets in Person" audiocassette package to explore poetry of the 20th Century.  $2,000.00.

Friends of the Museums of Florida History, Tallahassee.  Two public scholar lectures on the Seminoles support the current exhibit on the same topic. $2,000.00.

Center for Inquiry Community of Tallahassee, Tallahassee.  A full-day program of scholar lectures and panel discussion examine Darwin's impact on our social institutions. $2,000.00.
