Public Programs Each year hundreds of free public humanities programs are funded and/or created by FHC that examine a variety of Florida topics, both past and present. Hosted by community centers, libraries, theaters and other public venues statewide, these programs help Floridians learn more about the richly diverse state in which we live. For information about how your organization can host an FHC-sponsored event or to view a list of our upcoming fall public programs, click here.
Directory of Humanities Professionals Visit our new on-line Directory of Humanities Professionals. There you will find scholars and other qualified professionals (storytellers, musicians, culture bearers) who are willing to participate in public humanities programs. They can be engaged as researchers, planners, discussion leaders, writers, consultants, facilitators, lecturers, and panelists.
PrimeTime PrimeTime provides a six week program of reading, discussion and storytelling for parents and children. This library-based program targets children between the ages of 6 and 10 and their parents. The program introduces families to libraries and encourages them to read together and talk about books.
