Funded & Sample Grants
Each year FHC awards more than $300,000 in grant funds to Florida nonprofit organizations and public institutions. These grants support hundreds of public programs that explore Florida's history, folklore, environment, literature, music, and art. Libraries, civic groups, universities, colleges and museums, historical societies, and theaters have received grants to sponsor humanities programs that range from lectures, discussion programs and history tours to websites, exhibits, brochures, and heritage maps.

Sample Grant Products
FHC-funded projects frequently produce lasting products that can be used by individuals and organizations for a considerable time beyond the grant period. Maps, booklets, and brochures can be ordered from the organization that produced them. Exhibits may be borrowed or rented – often using a FHC Mini Grant to fund the shipping of the exhibit and a related public program to open it. Websites are used by teachers in the classroom, researchers, and folks just interested in Florida culture and heritage. Some of the products of FHC-funded grants are listed below.
