Reading and Discussion with Scholar Carol Mahler


Scholar Carol Mahler will lead a 4-part reading and discussion series on books noted by Floridians. Books will be provided to participants, registration is required.
The first book to be discussed is the Pulitzer Prize winning autobiography "The Americanization of Edward Bok" by Edward Bok. Bok's legacy includes a life in publishing, environmental work and philanthopy. The Mountain Lake Sanctuary and Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, Florida were built through the generousity of Edward Bok.
The second book to be discussed in the series is the Zora Neale Hurston's memoir, "Dust Tracks on a Road," will be discussed on February 20, 2010 also at 3 p.m.
