"How People of Color Served in the Civil War"


Mary Fears will tell stories of Plantation Life, Slave Occupations and Narratives, and Biographical Stories with an opportunity for the audience to ask questions. Mrs. Fears has been a Professional Storyteller for over thirty years and is committed to sharing African American history and stories to all ages. The Okeechobee Friends of the Library will provide light refreshments following the program.
